U-Turn’s Shraddha Srinath to become a heroine in the Tamil Film Industry
U-Turn, the Kannada film which has taken the industry by storm gives a very interesting gift to the Tamil film Industry in the form of the talented and pretty heroine Shraddha Srinath.
Shraddha, who is the daughter of an Army officer, is all set to make her debut as a heroine in a Tamil film starring Nivin Pauly and directed by Gautham Ramachandran, a former associate of Mysskin.
The heroines who are paired opposite Nivin have all marked a place for themselves in the film industry.
Equipped with ravishing looks and a theater background, Shraddha is also all set to repeat the magic.
“I come from an Army background. My father, a senior Army officer, had to travel all over the country so as a family we also made homes in towns spanning the country.
Experiencing such a variety of cultures and growing up around such a diverse group of people has shaped the type of person that I am.
I went on to study law and worked as a professional lawyer while simultaneously pursing my passion of being an actress in the theater circuit of Bangalore.
Since transitioning from law to acting full-time, I have experienced yet another culture and one that I have fallen in love with.
I hope to become an actor who is seen as more than just a pretty face, and I have been lucky to get roles that feature strong female characters that can really push me to becoming a better actor.
The life I have lived so far combined with my theater background and my love for acting really helped me land my dream role in U-Turn, and has subsequently helped me sail through the rigorous rounds of auditions that brings me to this point, as the heroine of the yet-to-be-titled Tamil Film directed by debutant director Gautham.
I hope I can make a small contribution in my own way to the colossus that is Tamil Cinema.”
